Brydon Brett

Brydon Brett is a singer-songwriter, humorist, MC, author, dancer, speaker, and co-producer of The Bretts Show in Branson, MO.

Brydon was practically born on the stage, but his first love was always basketball. While his parents were singing duets in the Dallas area, Brydon was attending basketball camps, practices, clinics and games. He rehearsed and performed with the family at all their shows through his youth and teenage years, but was not fully invested in the family singing group because of his basketball aspirations. Yet, even without full commitment to the arts, Brydon was a natural, delighting the crowd during every performance.

After playing basketball at a junior college in St. Louis, MO, Brydon left to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Portland, OR. Upon his return, he attended Southern Virginia University to play basketball for one year. It was during this year that he changed his focus from sports to entertainment, throwing his talents and energies into his work with The Bretts and other artistic and creative endeavors. While at SVU, Brydon played the lead role in the musical, “Stone Tables,” and also served as president of the University’s traveling a cappella group, The Fading Point, honing his skills even further as a performer and a producer.

In May, 2010 Brydon graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Leadership and returned to Branson to work full-time with his family in the entertainment industry. Upon returning to Branson, Brydon quickly gained a reputation as one of Branson’s finest entertainers, winning Branson’s 2010 Master of Ceremonies of the Year award and 2011’s Male Entertainer of the Year award* as well. More recently, he was nominated for a Brammy Award as Branson's Entertainer of the Year. A gifted contemporary singer-songwriter, Brydon is also a member of Prince Ivan, an up-and-coming pop/R&B music group he has formed with his brother Garon and colleague Aaron Ellsworth. Their band is named after Brydon and Garon’s young nephew, Ivan, and their goal is to hit the radio and the charts with fresh, original music that unites people of all ages.

An energetic and versatile vocalist and entertainer, Brydon draws frequent comparisons to Harry Connick Jr., Frank Sinatra, and Justin Timberlake. As a humorist and MC, he is often compared to a young Tommy Smothers or Bob Hope and has hosted many local and national events, including being five-time host of the Show Choir National Finals in Chicago, IL. His first solo album, Back to Basics, was recorded in 2006 and features his baritone/tenor voice on many standards and classics. In addition to his work on stage, Brydon also speaks at events for youth, serves in leadership at his church, and has published his first book called “The Artist-Disciple,” which is available for sale at amazon.com.
