Tom Brett is a singer, piano and guitar player, recording artist, vocal coach and co-owner and co-producer of The Bretts Show in Branson, MO.

Growing up in a musical family, Tom always loved music but saw first-hand what it took to be a professional musician, which prompted him to forego a career in music and develop a very successful chiropractic career in Texas. After more than thirteen years in private practice, Tom suffered a career-altering injury.  He had always sung semi-professionally on the side with his wife Andrea, and after a series of very unique circumstances, Tom and Andrea moved to Branson and launched the family into the professional entertainment industry.

As a youth, Tom developed a love of music by observing his mother, Karlyn, teach fifty piano students each week in the family’s Spokane, WA home. During his teenage years, he participated in formal musical training and started a rock and roll band with his friends. A student of the sounds of Elton John, Barry Manilow, and other popular artists of his day, Tom spent hours at the piano improvising and singing his favorite songs.

After serving a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hamburg, Germany, Tom returned home and sang in the Men’s Chorus at Brigham Young University. After his marriage to Andrea Christensen, the couple sang at weddings, funerals, country clubs, churches, and other special events around Dallas, TX.  Always ambitious, Tom worked to develop the family into a viable act destined for bigger and better opportunities.

In 1996, Tom sustained a serious neck injury that sidelined his chiropractic career. Taking the initiative to rethink his future and fulfill his dreams of a career in music, Tom landed performances for The Bretts in virtually every major concert hall in the Dallas area. Eventually, the path led the family to a performance contract in Branson, MO, beginning at The Showboat Branson Belle in 1999.

Tom was nominated for Branson’s Male Vocalist of the Year award in 2010* and is widely considered one of the finest tenors in Branson. His voice often draws comparisons to the power of Larry Gatlin, and the finesse of Vince Gill. He plays piano and guitar, and his skills as an emcee have landed him engagements as the host of benefits, telethons and fundraisers. Tom has honed his skills as a producer, having produced many live shows for The Bretts and others, as well as the annual Vietnam Veterans Benefit Show in Branson. Off the stage, Tom has also excelled as a high school basketball coach and a high school athletic director. He currently serves as associate pastor in a local Young Single Adult congregation.
